Today starts the beginning of a new beginning. Each year ads growth, perspective, happiness, goals set, goals accomplished, sadness, setbacks and honestly many more things than any of us want to admit. Life has its challenges but it is what you do with those challenges that adds to your life. Today as I put away our Christmas I couldn’t help but ponder on what the new year will look like. I know we have all had to dig deep into ourselves to find hope in this year. I reflected on what this year brought me and there was so much good. I will remember the growth I accomplished and the many sacrifices I had to give to be here on this day in this home. There was a lot of praying. There was many days that I struggled to find a smile. There were days that I begged God to change life’s circumstances for us all. I was angry a lot this year. I know a lot of us were. There was so much uncertainty this year. I couldn’t help but really sit with that word ‘Uncertainty’. I still am not certain what 2021 will look like. I am certain that as grim as it might look, it will have beauty, it will have a rollercoaster of feelings, so many highs and so many lows. I am here for them. Find the beauty in the lines my friends. A beautiful soul that I had the pleasure of watching her journey on earth once said, “God is in the details.” What details to you see? What lines did you create yesterday, today? What lines will you cross tomorrow? What are you going to change in the new coming year? Will you look the same? What will you take with you? What will you let go? I am ready to start fresh. I am ready to be the artist of my new clean canvas. Today I found my heart! Today I found my home. Today I found my peace and I am sitting in it and it feels so refreshing friends.
