THE LIVING ROOM is one of the easiest rooms in our home to capture. Light spills into the dark painted room for the majority of the day, where it is absorbed by the flatness of the walls. The color is elusive, continuously shifting from blue to green, only to be broken by the wood mantle and windows. The space we undoubtedly spend the majority of our time. • One of the primary features of this room are the white curtains. They provide contrast, a break from the bold, and draw your eyes up to the brass rods and crown. Most recently we updated our curtain panels to the Sunbrella Taylor Curtain from luluandgeorgia . These curtains are 3 in 1 allowing for rod pocket, back tab, or clip rings hanging and while we initially planned to maintain the brass clip rings - we decided to try something new. We used panels to bookend the bay and used the center panels to bridge the gap giving the illusion of a continuous rod. Now we have a nice clean line and love the update. • If we have learned anything during our time in this home it is that incremental changes or improvements sometimes happen without planning.
